Assistance in Healthcare

Founded in 2012, Southeastern Assistance in Healthcare (SAIH) is a nonprofit with the mission of providing financial support to patients undergoing active cancer treatment. The funds provided are for non-medical expenses such as mortgage, rent, groceries, utilities, child care, or other basic needs that may be neglected during a patient’s treatment.

The goal is to keep families focused on fighting cancer and to help reduce the worry and stress cancer can cause by lessening the burden of non-medical needs.

Southeastern Assistance in Healthcare serves any patient in active cancer treatment at facilities within the Atlanta Metro area.

Your gift of any amount will make a difference in the lives of a family who may be struggling to make ends meet because of a cancer-related illness. You can also help cancer patients and their families on a recurring basis by making a monthly contribution. For more information, please visit newnan.aih.org.

The Assistance in Healthcare Newnan Chapter Board of Directors includes Arezoo Nazari, president; Don Phillips, vice president; Carol Sprayberry and Linda Jarvis, co-treasurers.

The local chapter of Assistance in Healthcare supports cancer patients at hospitals in Fulton, Dekalb, Gwinnett, Cobb, Clayton, Coweta, Douglas, Fayette, and Henry counties. Any patient receiving care at a facility in one of these counties is eligible for AIH assistance.
